Rooted deeply in Japanese history, fireworks have been an integral part of celebrations and festivals within Japan. Japanese firework shows, known as ‘hanabi taikai’ in Japanese, are nothing short of extraordinary; lasting up to several hours with certain shows consisting of thousands of fireworks, with one firework show in particular that has a 900 lb super-firework and blooms to over 2,400ft, Japanese fireworks are truly astonishing.
